Last Updated: June 26, 2026
1. Introduction and Acceptance
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Account Aggregator ("AA") data fetching feature within the Finanjo application operated by Finanjo Ventures Private Limited ("Finanjo", "we", "us", or "our").
By providing your consent to share your financial information through the Account Aggregator framework, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not provide consent or proceed with linking your accounts.
These Terms are in addition to, and should be read together with, Finanjo's Privacy Policy and general Terms of Service.
2. What is the Account Aggregator Framework
The Account Aggregator ("AA") framework is a system regulated by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) that enables you to securely share your financial information from one financial institution to another, with your explicit, informed, and revocable consent.
Within this framework:
- You are the data principal whose financial information is being shared.
- A Financial Information Provider (FIP) is the institution that holds your data, such as your bank, NBFC, or depository.
- Finanjo acts as a Financial Information User (FIU), the entity that receives and uses your data for the purpose you consent to.
- An Account Aggregator (AA) is the RBI-licensed intermediary that facilitates the secure transfer of your data between the FIP and Finanjo. The AA is a consent manager and cannot read or store your financial data.
3. Your Consent
Before any of your financial information is fetched, you will be asked to provide explicit consent through a registered Account Aggregator. This consent is:
- Purpose-specific: Your data is fetched only for the specific purpose stated in the consent request, such as personal finance analysis, credit assessment, or financial advisory.
- Time-bound: Your consent has a defined validity period after which data fetching automatically stops.
- Revocable: You may withdraw your consent at any time through the Finanjo application or directly through the Account Aggregator.
- Granular: You can choose which accounts and which data types to share.
By proceeding, you confirm that the accounts you are linking belong to you and that you are authorised to share the associated financial information.
4. Information We Access
With your consent, Finanjo may access the following categories of financial information through the AA framework:
- Bank account transaction history and statements
- Account balances and summary information
- Credit card transactions and related data
- Investment holdings, including mutual funds and fixed deposits
- Loan account details, including outstanding amounts and repayment schedules
We access only the data types specified in your consent artefact. We do not access any information beyond the scope you have approved.
5. How We Use Your Information
We use the financial information accessed through the AA framework solely for the purposes you have consented to, which may include:
- Providing you with a consolidated view of your finances within the Finanjo application.
- Generating personalised insights, analysis, and recommendations through our AI assistant, Jo.
- Assessing your eligibility for financial products such as loans, where you have specifically requested this.
- Providing investment advisory services in our capacity as a SEBI Registered Investment Adviser, where applicable.
We will not use your financial information for any purpose beyond what is stated in your consent. We do not sell your financial data to any third party.
6. Data Sharing with Partners
Where you specifically request a service that requires it, such as a loan application or product recommendation, we may share relevant financial information with our regulated partners, including RBI-regulated banks and NBFCs, and SEBI-regulated intermediaries.
We share data with partners only:
- With your specific, prior consent for that purpose.
- To the minimum extent necessary to provide the service you requested.
- With entities regulated by the appropriate financial regulators.
Finanjo does not work with unregulated entities. We do not share your data with any party for marketing or advertising purposes.
7. Data Storage and Security
Financial information accessed through the AA framework is stored on secure, encrypted servers located in India. We implement industry-standard security measures, including:
- Encryption of data at rest and in transit.
- Access controls limiting data access to authorised systems and personnel.
- Compliance with RBI guidelines applicable to entities operating within the AA ecosystem.
Data is retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes described, or as required by applicable law, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
8. Withdrawal of Consent
You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You may do so by:
- Using the relevant option within the Finanjo application under settings.
- Managing your consents directly through the Account Aggregator platform.
Upon withdrawal, Finanjo will stop fetching new data under that consent. Data already collected will be handled in accordance with the retention terms in our Privacy Policy, unless you separately request its deletion.
9. Your Responsibilities
By using the AA feature, you agree that:
- The accounts and information you link belong to you and you are authorised to share them.
- The information you provide to Finanjo is accurate and current.
- You will not misuse the feature or attempt to link accounts that are not yours.
- You understand that the insights and recommendations provided are based on the data available and are intended to assist, not replace, your own financial judgement.
10. Accuracy of Information and Limitation
The financial information is fetched directly from your Financial Information Providers through the AA framework. While we take reasonable steps to process this data accurately, Finanjo is not responsible for inaccuracies, delays, or gaps in the data originating from the FIPs or the Account Aggregator.
Any insights, analysis, or recommendations provided by Finanjo, including through Jo, are for informational and advisory purposes. Where we act as a SEBI Registered Investment Adviser, advice is provided in accordance with applicable SEBI regulations. You remain responsible for your own financial decisions.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in regulation, our practices, or our services. We will notify you of material changes through the application. Your continued use of the AA feature after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Grievance Redressal
